Our research

Can urban carnivores help us understand the health of our cities? Can we use these wildlife species as sentinels for our own health?

We are studying how toxins in the environment, diet, and bodily health vary across complex urban landscapes in two common carnivorous species across West Coast cities (Seattle-Tacoma, San Francisco Bay Area, and Los Angeles). We hope our results will inform implications for human and environmental health in urban areas. Find out more here
